Running Shoes
Oil paint on canvas 12" x 12" An object similar to me in many ways as the coffee cup is the sneaker, shoe or work boot, which says a lot about the culture in which we live. Without being judgmental or making a huge statement it is curious to me that something so common as the sneaker has become so outrageously expensive. What this alone says about the consumer culture is interesting from an anthropologetical perspective.
